Mexico's economy secretariat, SE, said a new steel norm will soon come into effect.

The NMX-B-308-CANACERO-2017 regulation will replace the existing NMX-B-308-1987 norm. The norm sets the microscopic methods for the determination of non-metallic inclusions in finished or forged steel.

The new regulation will come into effect in 60 days after December 13.
