Mexico’s iron pellet output up in March

Mexican iron pellet production in March rose 0.2 percent year­-on-year to 545,980 mt, the country’s statistics agency, Inegi, said on Wednesday.
 
In a month-on-month analysis, Mexican iron pellet production declined 0.2 percent in March. For the full first quarter of the year, iron pellet output increased 6.4 percent year-on-year.
 
As for the nation’s mining and metals production index, March showed a 1 percent decline month­on-­month, but a 3.7 percent increase year-­on-­year.
