Mexico’s iron pellet output declines in June

Mexican iron pellet production in June declined 11.3 percent, year-on-year, according to data released on Thursday by the country’s statistics agency, Inegi.

According to government data, iron pellet output in June reached 568,993 mt, also down from 625,842 mt in May.

Iron pellet production in H1 rose 3.7 percent when compared to the same period of the year prior.

Meanwhile, the country’s mining and metals production index in June rose 3.5 percent, month-on-month, and 1.1 percent, year-on-year.
