Mexico’s industrial production slightly declines in December

Mexican industrial production in December slightly declined by 0.1 percent, year-on-year, according to the nation’s statistics agency, Inegi.
 
According to Inegi, Mexican industrial output also diminished 0.1 percent in December on a month-on-month basis.
 
As for the civil construction and manufacturing segments, industrial production in December rose 2.4 and 2.5 percent, year-on-year, respectively. Output at the mining segment in the same period fell 10.3 percent, the highest decline among all other sectors.
 
In the month-on-month analysis, mining and civil construction production dropped 1.4 and 0.3 percent, respectively, while the same indicator rose 0.6 percent in the same period for the manufacturing industries.
