Mexico's economic activity improves in October

Mexico’s economic activity in October rose 0.9 percent, year-on-year, the nation’s statistics agency (Inegi), said this week. On a monthly basis, economic activity rose 0.1 percent month-on-month.

Government data indicated primary and tertiary activities in October rose 3.8 and 1.9 percent, respectively, year-on-year. On the other hand, secondary activities in October fell 1.1 percent, year-on-year.

On a monthly basis, primary activities in October improved 0.1 percent, month-on-month. Secondary activities in October dropped 0.1 percent, month-on-month, while tertiary activities in the same period grew 0.4 percent, month-on-month.
