Mexico’s crude steel production decreases in February

Mexico’s crude steel production decreased 8.1 percent in February, year-on-year, to 1.4 million mt from 1.5 million, according to data released by the World Steel Association (worldsteel).

From January to February, the nation’s crude steel production decreased 9.6 percent, month-on-month, and 4.9 percent for the cumulative period of January February, worldsteel said.

In the period, the nation’s crude steel production totaled 3 million mt, while that volume reached 3.2 million mt in the same period of 2014.
