Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, has opened two of Canacero’s steel norms for public consultation, it said on Tuesday. Canacero is Mexico’s steel association.

According to two different SE announcements, the Mexican government has opened the existing PROY-NMX-B-517-CANACERO-2017 and PROY-NMX-B-518-CANACERO-2017 norms for public consultation for a period of 60 days.

The PROY-NMX-B-517-CANACERO-2017 norm establishes the general requisites for stainless steel pipes, as well as establishing requirements for probe methods.

Likewise, the PROY-NMX-B-518-CANACERO-2017 regulation sets the classification, specifications and probe methods for zinc and aluminum coated carbon steel wires used in the industry for general purposes.
