Mexico has extended existing anti-dumping (AD) duties on imports of CRC from Russia and Kazakhstan for five years, the nation’s government said on Wednesday.
According to a resolution published on Wednesday in the nation’s Diario Oficial de La Federacion (DOF), Mexico’s official gazette, the extended duties will backdate from June 30, 2014, ending the compensatory measures it had previously established for the two countries.
According to the Mexican government, CRC imports from Russia and Kazakhstan will pay a 15 and a 22 percent tax, respectively.
The move follows a recent statement by the nation’s ministry of economy, which said on Tuesday it would “soon” establish measures to “strengthen the control of temporary imports.”
