Mexican iron pellet production up in June

Mexican iron pellet production in June rose 9.6 percent, year-on-year, according to the nation’s statistics agency (Inegi). Local iron pellet production in June was 623,685 mt, up from 569,159 mt in the same month of the year prior.

Mexican iron pellet production in June dropped 2.3 percent, month-on-month, from 638,479 mt.

Inegi said local iron pellet output in H1 increased 6.2 percent, year-on-year.

Government data indicated the nation’s mining and metals production index in June fell 1.6 percent, month-on-month, and 3 percent, year-on-year.
