Mexican iron pellet production rises in October

Mexican iron pellet production in October totaled 547,526 mt, up 8.6 percent, year-on-year, according to data released by the local statistics agency (Inegi). On a monthly comparison, production increased 9.1 percent from September.

Inegi said local iron pellet output in the accumulated period of January to October this year grew 5.1 percent, year-on-year. The statistics agency said the nation’s mining and metals production index in October dropped 1.6 percent, month-on-month, and 7.4 percent, on a year-on-year basis.
