Mexican iron pellet production rises 4.3 percent in September

Mexican iron pellet output in September increased 4.3 percent, year-on-year, local statistics agency (Inegi) said on Friday. Local iron pellet production in September totaled 591,013 mt, up from 566,799 mt in the same month of the year prior. On a monthly basis, Mexican iron pellet production dropped 5.3 percent, month-on-month.

Accumulated iron pellet production from January to September this year improved 4.8 percent, year-on-year. Inegi said the nation’s mining and metals production index in September declined 1 percent, month-on-month, and 5.8 percent, year-on-year.
