Mexican iron pellet production increases in July

Mexican iron pellet output in July increased 2.9 percent, year-on-year, to 573,979 mt, local statistics agency, Inegi, said on Monday.

According to government data, Mexican iron pellet production in July declined 3.2 percent, month-on-month, from 593,364 mt in June 2019.

Mexican iron pellet production in the accumulated period from January to July decreased 1.4 percent, year-on-year.

Inegi said the Mexican mining and metals production index in July rose 0.3 percent, month-on-month, but fell 0.6 percent, year-on-year.
