Mexican iron pellet production increases 3.8 percent in December

Mexican iron pellet production in December 2018 rose 3.8 percent, year-on-year, according to data released by local statistics agency, Inegi.

Inegi said local iron pellet output in December was 601,004 mt, up from 578,831 mt in December 2017, and up from 450,501 mt in November 2018.

According to the local statistics agency, Mexican iron pellet output in the accumulated period of January to December grew 3 percent, year-on-year.

Inegi said the nation’s mining and metals production index in December increased 3.2 percent, month-on-month, but dropped 3.4 percent, year-on-year.
