Mexican iron pellet production declines in July

Mexican iron pellet production in July dropped 2.2 percent, year-on-year, the nation’s statistics agency (Inegi) said on Friday.  Mexican iron pellet output in July totaled 565,753 mt, down from 578,304 mt in July 2017, and from 623,685 mt in June this year.

Mexican iron pellet production in the accumulated period from January to July increased 5 percent, year-on-year.

Government data indicated the nation’s mining and metals production index in July diminished 0.4 percent, month-on-month, and 0.7 percent, year-on-year.
