Mexican iron pellet production declines 1 percent in March

Mexican iron pellet production in March dropped 1 percent, year-on-year, according to data released by local statistics agency, Inegi. Iron pellet output in March reached 651,683 mt, down from 658,505 mt in the same month of 2018.

According to government data, Mexican iron pellet production in March rose 6.3 percent, month-on-month, from 613,102 mt in February this year.

Inegi said the Mexican mining and metals production index in March improved 4.7 percent, month-on-month, but fell 2.8 percent, year-on-year.
