Mexican iron pellet output rises in April

Mexican iron pellet production in April increased 10 percent, year-on-year, according to data released on Friday by the country’s statistics agency (Inegi). Iron pellet output reached 663,033 mt, 2.6 percent up, month-on-month.

Accumulated iron pellet production from January to April increased nearly 5 percent, year-on-year.

The nation’s mining and metals production index in April slightly improved 0.1 percent, month-on-month. Following the same uptrend, the local mining and metals output grew 1.8 percent in April in a year-on-year basis.
