Mexican iron pellet output declines 22.5 percent in April

Mexican iron pellet production in April fell 22.5 percent, year-on-year, to 463,312 mt, Mexican statistics agency, Inegi, said on Tuesday. On a month-on-month basis, iron pellet output dropped 4.2 percent from 483,846 mt in March.

Inegi said iron pellet production in the accumulated period of January to April declined 17 percent, year-on-year.

The Mexican mining and metals production index in April decreased 24.4 percent, month-on-month, and 25.2 percent, year-on-year.
