Mexican iron pellet output declines 12.1 percent in October

Mexican iron pellet production in October fell 12.1 percent, year-on-year to 525,076 mt, according to data released by the country’s statistics agency (Inegi). In a month-on-month comparison, production dropped 9.6 percent from 581,193 mt in September.

Mexican iron pellet production for the accumulated period of January to October slightly improved 0.4 percent.

Additionally, the country’s mining and metals production index in October dropped 1.3 percent, month-on-month, and 1.4 percent, year-on-year.
