Mexican industrial production down in November

Mexican industrial production in November decreased 0.8 percent, year-on-year, and 0.6 percent, month-on-month, the nation’s statistics agency (Inegi) said on Friday.

Industrial production in the local mining sector fell 7.9 percent, year-on-year. Likewise, industrial production in the local civil construction segment dropped 2.5 percent, year-on-year. Industrial production in the mining and civil construction sectors in November decreased 2.3 percent, and 1.9 percent, month-on-month, respectively.

On the other hand, production in the manufacturing industry sector in November grew 1.6 percent, year-on-year. Industrial production for the local manufacturing sector in November rose 1 percent, on a month-on-month basis.
