Mexican government updates three norms for the local steel industry

The Mexican government updated three norms for the local steel industry, according to announcements from the country’s economy secretariat, SE, on Monday.
 
The Mexican government said the NMX-B-365-CANACERO-2017, NMX-B-456-CANACERO-2017 and NMX-B-072-CANACERO-2017 norms should replace the MX-B-365-CANACERO-2008, NMX-B-456-CANACERO-2013 and the NMX-B-072-CANACERO-2013 regulations, respectively.
 
SE said the NMX-B-365-CANACERO-2017 norm establishes the requisites for carbon steel wires that used to the manufacturing of wires through the drawing or cold rolled processes.
 
The NMX-B-456-CANACERO-2017 norm sets the requisites for electric resistance welding for reinforcement of concrete columns, while the NMX-B-072-CANACERO-2017 regulation sets specific test methods for wire rods and wires, smooth or corrugated, cold rolled of grade 60.
