The Ministry of Economy (SE) announced this week that it has initiated a test of validation for the final countervailing tax (duty) imposed on imports of welded steel chains, originating in China, regardless of the country of origin.

The test was initiated after domestic producers Deacero and Industrial de Alambres requested a review and expressed that the examination to this quota (tax), should start as soon as possible.

Accordingly, producers, importers, exporters, foreign legal entities, or anyone interested in this examination procedure have a deadline of 28 working days to submit the response to the official form established for this purpose and the arguments and evidence to be considered relevant.
