Metinvest’s iron ore concentrate output totals 27.1 million mt in Jan-Sept

The Ukrainian mining and steel producing company Metinvest Holding (Metinvest) has announced that in January-September this year its iron ore subsidiaries produced 27.1 million mt of iron ore concentrate - up 25.5 percent, and about 9.43 million mt of pellets - up 14.1 percent, both compared to the same period last year.

Specifically, in January-September, Metinvest's iron ore subsidiary Central GOK (CGOK) increased its iron ore concentrate output by 31.8 percent to 4.56 million mt and saw a rise in its pellet production by 4.4 percent to 1.7 million mt, both compared to the same period of 2009.

During the first nine months of the current year, Severniy GOK (SevGOK) produced 10.845 million mt of iron ore concentrate - up 8.9 percent year on year, and about 7.73 million mt of pellets - up 16.4 percent year on year.
 
Meanwhile, in the given period, Metinvest's Inguletskiy GOK (InGOK) registered a 43.1 percent increase year on year in its iron ore concentrate production to about 11.69 million mt.
