Metinvest settles iron ore price rise with ISD

The largest Ukrainian iron ore producer Metinvest Holding (Metinvest) has announced that it has reached an agreement regarding the 2008 iron ore prices with Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD).

Accordingly, the price of iron ore supplied by Metinvest to ISD's subsidiaries Alchevsk and DMKD will increase in line with the rise in the international iron ore market - i.e. by 65 percent as of April 1, 2008.
