The Russian iron ore mining and steel producing company Metalloinvest Holding has sold its 19.52 percent stake in Australian iron ore mining company Mount Gibson.

The stake was sold for AUD416 million ($378 million) to an international investor a few days after Metalloinvest had been blocked by the Australian government from selling its stake in Mount Gibson to the Chinese steelmaker Shougang.
