Mechel, one of the leading Russian mining and steel groups, said that in the first half of this year it registered positive production dynamics and has overcome the consequences of the global economic recession.
Specifically, in Q2 compared to Q1 this year, Mechel increased its coking coal concentrate output by 29 percent, its output of coal for steel production by 111 percent, its steel output by seven percent and its hardware output by 21 percent.
