Longest crude oil pipeline in northwest China to be built in Xinjiang

On August 10, the Chinese Economic and Information Commission stated that construction is to commence in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous region on a new crude oil pipeline which will be the longest such pipeline in northwestern China. Preparatory work for the pipeline construction has already begun. The pipeline will extend from the Du Shanzi district near Kelamayi to Shan Shan county, both in Xinjiang.

The total length of the pipeline will be 536km, while its designed annual capacity is 10 million mt. The total investment for the project is RMB 2 billion ($0.31 billion).
