Libyan Iron and Steel increases production

The Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISC) produced 918'000 tons of long and flat steel products in 2004, up 10% from the 835'000 tons recorded in the previous year. Rebar production of LISC increased to 460'000 tons in 2004 from 412'000 tons produced in 2003. LISC ranked third among Arabian iron and steel producing companies in 2004.
