Last-ditch effort to ban Kryvorizhstal tender

Members of Ukraine's parliament introduced today a draft bill aimed at stopping the sale of Ukraine's largest steel mill, Kryvorizhstal. The bill banning the privatization in general was accepted with 256 votes (30 more than required), but it must still undergo another voting. However, three bidders have already deposited their advance payments to participate in the tender. Thus, serious problems could arise for Ukraine should the parliment decide to press ahead with the proposal.
