Kingland Pipeline to commission spiral-welded steel pipe facility in 2013

Zhejiang-based Chinese steel pipe producer Kingland Pipeline Technologies Co. has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Kingland Pipeline Industry Co. has purchased a site for the construction of a spiral-welded steel pipe production facility with a planned annual output capacity of 120,000 mt. The company paid RMB 11.35 million ($1.80 million) for the site in question.

The commissioning of the spiral-welded steel pipe facility is expected take place in the third quarter of 2013. The spiral-welded steel pipe production facility is the second part of an overall steel pipe production project. The first part of the project, consisting of a longitudinally-welded steel pipe facility with an annual output capacity of 80,000 mt, was commissioned in August 2010.
