Jobs in German metal manufacturing down 1.3 percent in May

In May this year, the number of jobs in the manufacturing sector in Germany increased by 0.9 percent or about 49,000 year on year to nearly 5.4 million, according to Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
 
In May this year, the number of jobs in German metal and metal product manufacturing decreased by 1.3 percent compared to the same month of last year. 
 
In the given month, an increase of 1.1 percent was recorded in the number of jobs in manufacture of fabricated metal products in Germany compared to May 2015.
