Japanese crude steel output down four percent in Feb from Jan

In February this year, Japanese crude steel production was down by four percent compared to the previous month and rose by 2.2 percent compared to February 2019, totaling 7.92 million mt, according to the data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF).

Meanwhile, in the given month Japan's pig iron production totaled 5.95 million metric tons, decreasing by eight percent compared to the previous month and up by 5.9 percent year on year.
