ITC to conduct full reviews for certain pipes from five countries

On August 5, 2005, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted in favor of conducting full sunset reviews (five-year reviews) of antidumping duty orders on carbon and alloy seamless standard, line, and pressure pipe from the Czech Republic, Japan, Mexico, Romania, and South Africa to determine whether revocation of the orders would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to US domestic industries. The ITC found that responses from domestic parties and the respondent parties except Japan were adequate to warrant a full review, which includes public hearings and questionnaires. Even though responses from Japan were considered insufficient to warrant a review in their own right, Japan will be included in the full review of the five countries.
