ITC initiates reviews for certain pipes from five countries

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Friday voted in favor of conducting full sunset reviews (five-year reviews) of antidumping duty orders on carbon and alloy seamless standard, line, and pressure pipe from Czech Republic, Japan, Mexico, Romania, and South Africa. The ITC will use the sunset reviews to determine whether the revocation of the orders would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to US domestic industries. Interested parties are requested to submit their comments on the ITC's decision. Generally, 95 days after the initiation of the review the ITC determines whether the responses indicate adequate interest in a full review. If the responses are adequate, the ITC will conduct a full review, which includes public hearings and questionnaires.
