ITC rescinds CVD review on SS sheet and strip imported from France

US International Trade Commission (ITC) on June 1, 2004 announced that it instituted review to determine whether revocation of countervailing duties and anti-dumping duties on stainless steel sheet and strip imported from France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Taiwan and United Kingdom would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to US industry. US Department of Commerce (DOC), on November 7, 2003 revoked countervailing duty on subject merchandise imported from France; however on June 1, 2004 DOC initiated five-year review of the duty. DOC has recently notified ITC that it revokes the five-year review of the countervailing duty on stainless steel sheet and strip imported from France. Therefore ITC rescinds the five-year review of the countervailing duty on subject merchandise imported from France however five-year review of anti-dumping duty on the same product imported from France will continue.
