Italy’s crude steel output up by 7.4 percent in February

According to the figures released by the Italian steel producers' association Federacciai, in February this year Italian crude steel output rose by 7.4 percent year on year, reaching 2.29 million metric tons.
 
Federacciai also released Italy's long and flat steel output data for January of the current year. Accordingly, in January Italy's long steel output was up 6.9 percent year on year to 853,000 metric tons. On the other hand, in the same month the country's flat steel output amounted to 1.26 million metric tons, increasing by 29.4 percent year on year.
