Iran officially inaugurates Jalal Abad iron ore mine

On July 3, the Iranian authorities officially inaugurated the Jalal Abad iron ore mine located in the southeastern Iranian province of Kerman.

The mine in question is able to produce fine and lump ore with an annual capacity of one million mt, and has total reserves of at least 200 million mt of iron ore, with iron content of 42 percent.

Jalal Abad iron ore mine also has development plans for the establishment of a beneficiation plant with a capacity of three million mt per year.
