Industrial production in Russia declines by 1.6 percent in February

In February of the current year, Russia's industrial production declined by 0.8 percent compared to January and decreased by 1.6 percent compared to February last year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat).

In the given period, the volume of output and distribution of electric power, gas and water in Russia decreased by 1.7 percent compared with February 2014. Russian mining output in February this year decreased by 0.1 percent compared with the same month last year, while the output volume in the Russian processing industry declined by 2.8 percent year on year. The volume of petroleum production in Russia increased by 0.2 percent year on year, while coal output rose by 3.9 percent year on year.
