India’s VIL secures environmental approval to ramp up billet capacity

India’s Vaswani Industries Limited (VIL) has secured environmental approvals to increase its billet making capacity to 105,000 mt per year at its steel mill in the central province of Chhattisgarh, a company statement said on Friday, November 28.

Currently, VIL has an installed capacity of 36,000 mt of MS billet per year.

The company’s product portfolio includes sponge iron, alloy ingots, steel billets, HB wires and iron ore pellets, while also having a captive power plant.
