India’s RINL sees 51 percent rise in crude steel output in FY 2025-26

Indian government-run steel producer Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) achieved crude steel production of 5.43 million mt in the fiscal year 2025-26, a rise of 51 percent year on year, according to a company statement on Thursday, April 2.

RINL reported steel sales of 4.42 million mt in the given year, a rise of 27 percent year on year.

The improved performance highlights better operational efficiency, enhanced capacity utilization and a stronger market reach, driven by a sustained focus on productivity, cost control and customer satisfaction, the company said.
