Indian government-owned steel producer Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) is seeking an international supplier for 170 mt of ferrovanadium, company sources said on Thursday, April 5.

The sources said that the supplier will be selected through a tendering process and the last date for submission of bids has been set for May 4, 2018.

The selected supplier will need to complete deliveries at the rate of 15 mt per month from May to December 2018 and 25 mt per month each during January-February 2019, the sources added.

Ferrovanadium is a critical hardener and anticorrosive additive used in the production of high-strength, low-alloy steel and steel tool products.
