India’s MOIL Limited sees 6% rise in manganese ore output in FY 2022-23

Indian state-run manganese ore miner MOIL Limited achieved production of 1.302 million mt in the fiscal year 2022-23, up six percent over the previous fiscal year, a statement of India’s ministry of mines said on Monday, April 3.

The ministry said that production during 2022-23 was the second highest since MOIL Limited commenced operations in 1962.   

It said that the company had set a target of achieving annual manganese ore production of 3 million mt by 2030.   

During the fiscal year 2022-23, the company completed capital expenditure of INR 2.45 billion ($30 million), 14 percent higher year on year, the ministry’s statement said.
