India’s LMEL posts record DRI and iron ore outputs for H1 FY 2023-24

India’s Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited (LMEL) achieved its highest-ever half-year direct reduction iron (DRI) and iron ore production in the first half of the fiscal year 2023-24, a company statement said on Thursday, October 5.

The company said that it achieved a DRI output of 114,468 mt during the first half (April-September) of the fiscal year 2023-24, a growth of 22 percent year on year.

LMEL also reported iron ore production of 5.7 million mt in the first half, a rise of 280 percent year on year.
