The company is scheduled to conduct the test run for the facilities in April next year and to begin production in August of the same year.

Together with the plan for the construction of the new steel plate plant, Hyundai Steel is currently expanding its steel plate plant No. 1 for the installation of an additional rolling mill in order to increase annual production capacity from the current level of 1.5 million mt to 2 million mt. It will begin installing the new rolling mill at the plant in September this year, with test run and startup scheduled for the following December and January respectively.
