Hengyang Valin Steel Tube carries out hot test on continuous billet caster

According to China Metallurgical Group Co. (MCC Group), its subsidiary CCTEC Engineering Co. (CCTEC) has successfully completed hot run tests on a four-strand continuous round billet caster for steel pipe producer Hengyang Valin Steel Tube Co., a subsidiary of Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Valin Group.
 
The new caster has a designed annual output capacity of 700,000 mt of round billet in diameters of 150 mm, 180 mm and 220 mm. The output of the caster will be applied in the production of oil well casing pipes, seamless steel tubes for fluid transmission, and seamless steel tubes for boilers.
