Hebei Province’s finished steel exports total 5.872 million mt in 2011

The total finished steel exports of the Chinese province of Hebei in 2011 increased by 25.4 percent year on year to 5.872 million mt, worth $5.08 billion, up 48.6 percent year on year, according to the local customs authorities. The average export price of finished steel products from Hebei in 2011 was $864/mt, up 18.5 percent year on year. 

In 2011, the finished steel export value from Hebei to the Asian market saw a 55.5 percent year-on-year increase to $3.3 billion, accounting for 65.1 percent of the province's total finished steel export value. Of exports to the Asian region in 2011, exports to South Korea and India totaled $910 million and $400 million in value, up 41.2 percent and 72.2 percent year on year, respectively.
