Handan to commission new plate rolling machine

SteelOrbis Shanghai Handan Steel's new medium plate rolling machine will be put into operation on May 20. The designed capacity of the rolling machine is 1.2 million metric tons per annum, and it can produce products with thicknesses ranging from 6 mm to 100 mm, length from 6 to 18 meters, maximum width 3.3 meters and maximum unit weight at 11.85 metric tons. Besides, the rolling machine can ensure conformity with mechanic performance standards for the medium plates that are thinner than 50 mm. The medium plate production capacity of Handan Steel will increase to 2.2 million metric tons per annum after the commissioning of the rolling machine.
