Gulf Steel constructs rolling line

Saudi Arabian steel producer Gulf Steel is planning to construct a new rolling line in Sudan. The rolling line which will have an annual capacity of 250'000 tons, will produce bars and rebars ranging between dia 6-32 mm. The construction of line will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2004 by SIMAC. The line will be located by Sudan port on the Red Sea. Company also considers to install a wire rod line in order to produce wire rods of dia 5.5-16 mm. The rolling mill will include a pusher-type reheating furnace, a roughing train and a finishing block.
