Gross profit of steel industrial enterprises in Hebei up 67% in 2016

In 2016, the aggregate gross profit of large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in China’s Hebei Province amounted to RMB 261 billion ($38 billion), up 18.9 percent year on year, as announced by Hebei Province’s Bureau of Statistics.

In the year in question, of the 39 industrial sectors surveyed in Hebei Province, 38 registered year-on-year increases in gross profit. In the given year, the steelmaking sector in Hebei Province recorded a gross profit of RMB 50.68 billion ($7.38 million), up 67 percent compared to the same period of 2015. Meanwhile, the coal mining and dressing sector in Hebei Province recorded a gross profit of RMB 17.2 billion ($2.5 billion), rising by 18.7 percent year on year.
