Bayi Steel posts net loss of RMB 1.879 billion for 2025

Xinjiang Autonomous Region-based Chinese steelmaker Bayi Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (Bayi Steel) has announced that it registered an operating revenue of RMB 18.75 billion ($2.7 billion) in 2025, up 0.43 percent year on year, while it posted a net loss of RMB 1.879 billion ($0.27 billion) for the given period, compared to the net loss of RMB 1.76 billion recorded in 2024.

In 2025, Bayi Steel produced 1.2749 million mt of longs, 4.1132 million mt of flats, down 7.37 percent and up 15.86 percent year on year, respectively.

In 2025, Bayi Steel produced 5.73 million mt of crude steel, 5.11 million mt of pig iron and 5.39 million mt of finished steel, up 9.4 percent, 10.4 percent and 9.3 percent year on year, respectively.
