France-based sustainable iron company GravitHy has announced that it is collaborating with Spanish consulting, engineering, and architecture services provider IDOM for the second phase of the prefeasibility studies of its low-carbon direct reduced iron and hot briquetted iron production plant to be built in Fos-sur-Mer in southern France.
The second phase will be performed along this year, while the third phase of the prefeasibility studies will be commenced within 2025. The construction of the plant is scheduled to begin within 2026 for commissioning in the second half of 2028.
The plant is expected to have an annual production capacity of two million mt, as SteelOrbis previously reported.
